Groupsite.com is a group communication and networking platform. This policy describes the types of personal and/or group information we may collect and how we use it to provide the Groupsite.com ("Groupsite") service. The information that we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service and is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services under the terms of this agreement.
By using Groupsite.com, you agree to the collection and use of your personal and/or group information as described in this policy. You should know:
To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, Groupsite.com is only available to users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use the Groupsite.com service.
Account information. When you register with Groupsite.com, we will request some personal information, including your first and last name, email address, and password to create your account. Your password will be maintained on our system in an encrypted form.
Email. Groupsite.com will send to the primary email address specified in your Groupsite.com profile a monthly Groupsites-related newsletter. You may unsubscribe from this newsletter by writing towith UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line or using the opt-out URL provided in every newsletter.
Groupsite Managers of Groupsite Pro accounts may also notify Groupsite.com if they wish their Groupsite members' addresses to be collectively suppressed from our newsletter distribution. Such requests can be made in writing to: email@example.com and will not apply to Groupsite members that are also members of any other Groupsite.
Groupsite.com may occasionally contact pending Groupsite members with invitations to join your group by e-mail. Pending members are individuals who have not responded (with either a negative or affirmative response) to membership invitations extended by Groupsite managers and/or members. Invitations extended by Groupsite.com to pending members will clearly identify Groupsite.com, the name of the relevant Groupsite, the name of the person who invited them and an email opt-out option.
Groupsite.com may also distribute periodic updates regarding the Groupsite.com service to group managers. These administrative messages are considered part of your Groupsite.com account service and group managers may not opt-out of receiving them.
Group data and contents and usage. The contents of your Groupsite.com account are stored and maintained on Groupsite.com servers in order to provide the service. Because we keep back-up copies of data for the purposes of recovery from errors or system failure, residual copies of group contents may remain on our systems for some time, even after you have deleted information or after the termination of your account. Groupsite.com employees do not access the content of any accounts unless you specifically request them to do so (for example, if you are having technical difficulties accessing your account) or if required by law, to maintain our system, or to protect Groupsite.com or the public.
We also may collect information about the use of your account, such as how much bandwidth you are using, how often you log in and other information related to your use of Groupsite.com. Information displayed or clicked on in your Groupsite.com account (including user interface elements, links, and other information) is also recorded. We use this information internally to deliver the best possible service to you, such as improving the Groupsite.com user experience.
Cookies. A cookie is a small data file that is sent to your computer when you first visit a website. As with most website cookies, our cookies include an identification number that is unique to the computer you are using. This identifier helps us better understand our user base and how they are using our site and services.
Groupsite Managers: You can change your Groupsite account settings at any time in the "Manager" section of your Groupsite. You can terminate your account at any time, by following simple instructions located in the "Upgrade Groupsite" sub-tab within the "Manager" section of your Groupsite. You should be aware, however, that residual copies of information may remain stored on our systems even after the deletion of information or the termination of your account.
All Users: You can change your Groupsite.com User account settings at any time from within the "My Profile" section of Groupsite(s) in which you participate. You can terminate your membership in and remove your profile information from a Groupsite at any time by going to the "My Settings" tab and selecting the "Remove me from this Groupsite" link. You should be aware, however, that residual copies of information may remain stored on our systems even after the deletion of information or the termination of your membership within a Groupsite. You can remove yourself from any Groupsite and still have an active account on the Groupsite.com platform (providing you ability to remain in, join or create other Groupsites).
Groupsite.com reserves the right to include images of your Groupsite's header graphic or overview Summary page on the Groupsite.com website or in other marketing materials for demonstration and promotional purposes. We also may display additional pages from public and semi-public Groufpsites. For Public Groupsites, this includes the possibility of displaying an image of your Professional or Social member profile, including your photograph. Groupsite.com will take care to present images in a professional manner and without compromising the character of the Groupsite.
You may specifically request in writing that we not use images of your profile page in this manner by sending a request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the text REMOVE FROM MARKETING MATERIALS in the subject line. You may also submit your written request to:

Groupsite Managers may also specifically request in writing that Groupsite.com not use images of their Groupsite's header graphic or pages in this manner by contacting us using either of the above described methods.
Groupsite.com may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in yourGroupsite.com profile or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
